Brother Charles Moorman Brown Jr. is retired after 37 years with the School District of Philadelphia. During his tenure he was Athletic Director, Department Chair of Health Education, Instructor of Health and Physical Education, Head Coach of Varsity Baseball, and Head Coach of Varsity Basketball.
Brother Brown was born and raised in Philadelphia and graduated from Central High School where he played Baseball, Basketball, and Football.
After graduation he attended Cheyney State College majoring in science. He played basketball on their state championship team. He was initiated into Omega Psi Phi Fraternity at Beta Gamma Chapter.
Brother Brown transferred to West Chester State College to pursue his degree in Health and Physical Education. While at West Chester he played Basketball and Baseball. He pursued a vision to have Omega Psi Phi on the campus of West Chester State College and became a Co-Founder of Omega Delta Chapter.
After graduation from West Chester and employed with the School District of Philadelphia he continued another career in broadcasting which lasted close to 25 years, primarily as a Disc Jockey at WHAT AM, WDAS AM & FM and then back at WHAT AM. Other duties included Community Service Director at WDAS.
